ADMISSION PROCEDURE
The Academy follows an open admission policy. Minimum age for a candidate is 20 years. Admission is on a first-come-first-served basis, based on portfolio review, and personal interview. A minimum of 15 years of formal education in any subject with a degree is required.
The Academy will consider accepting an applicant who has rare talent but does not have the specified years of formal education, provided he/she is over 20 years of age, has a passion to pursue a career in professional photography, an impressive portfolio that is evidence of talent and letters of recommendation from those who can vouch for his/her talent and commitment.
Applications open ,subject to availability of seats. Enrolment is restricted to 20 per batch.
To apply , download the application form from our website and fill in all relevant details and send it with the following:
a) Two recent passport-size photographs in colour.
b) Portfolio of images you have shot (a minimum of 20 images - 8"x10"colour or B&W prints, on any subject or a CD of JPEG images 96 dpi, 10” width for horizontal images and 10” height for vertical images, on any one theme or a selection of images on varied subjects).
c) A non-refundable processing fee of Rs.1,000/- by way of Demand Draft favouring Light & Life Academy, payable at Ooty. Send the above to:

After screening the portfolio, selected candidates will be called for a personal interview at the Academy. Successful candidates will be notified of their admission soon after the interview.

In line with the policy of the Academy to constantly update the course content based on developments in the field (technical and aesthetic) the course content, schedules and methodology is subject to change. The final confirmation of fees will however be given with offer of Admission letter.
